Ford U.S. sales are up 14 percent, and Ford is emerging from a failing automobile market stronger than ever. Ford’s sales increase was driven by strong demand for large pickups and sport utility vehicles as well as by rising sales of its smaller models, like the Fusion, Focus and Fiesta. Sales of the automaker’s Fusion midsize sedan, for example, rose 10 percent, to 29,553 vehicles, for its best May ever.

Ford is entering a new era of hipness, with fresh cache among the tech savvy. The 2014 Ford Fiesta comes to market with one of the most comprehensive suites of in-car connectivity technology features available in a small car – SYNC® with MyFord Touch® with a new 6.5-inch LCD touch screen. With MyFord Touch powered by Microsoft, Fiesta drivers can stay connected to their lives, getting the information they need while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

These days, consumers expect not only functionality and quality, but also style and a sense of luxury. Vehicles like Fusion and the new Fiesta symbolize a culmination of this principle. The all-new Fusion offers a riveting design without sacrificing fuel efficiency. The midsize sedan carries an EPA-estimated 47 mpg rating for its hybrid offering and 100 MPGe combined for the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid.

I’ve never been as impressed with Ford as I am now. They are truly living up to their commitment to innovation throughout their vehicle lineup: in outstanding fuel economy, head-turning style and customer-focused technology.
